This is my favourite Wild Rumpus poster yet. I got a bit carried away with the phoney screen-print look but, well I don’t care any more….Buy a ticket!
Look at these bewildered animals! They don’t know what the hell is going on. Not unlike many of the journalists tasked with reviewing Hohokum. Still, I am broadly happy with how our game has been received. We always knew that there would be a fair amount of WTFing and blinding.
And some people have written insanely lovely things. Here are some of my favourites:
Hohokum, the game that I have been working on since 1996* is finished and comes out in just under two weeks.
This image is one of my favourite bits of Hohokum artwork. It is a thing that I made especially for the cover of the soundtrack vinyl. I’m putting it here, partly because I am inordinately excited about the soundtrack record but also because I love the image. It is kind of a weird twist on something in the game. Something that people still haven’t really seen…
(*feels like it anyway.)
Mild Rumpus. Like Wild Rumpus but gentle on your skin. It is a thing we are doing at GDC next week.
I designed the identity for Finji Games. He is a member of the weasel family, probably a stoat.
We are doing a Wild Rumpus in Toronto! This is the poster. One of the fancyest things I have ever drawn.
Some details about Hohokum, the videogame I have been working on were announced today. We did an interview with Game Informer magazine about the game and our collaboration with Sony Santa Monica Studios. There will be more news and a trailer soon.
This is the other thing that we are doing at GDC this year. Daily tournaments in Super Hexagon, Hokra, Samurai Gunn and QWOP. We call it Rumpus Royale.
I really enjoyed working on the identity for this one. It feels like ages since I did any hand lettering, which is crazy because it is one of my favorite things. Also, Toucans.
